Researchers from the Valuing Nature Programme's Peatland Tipping Points project have published a report detailing four potential futures for UK peatlands, assessing the of post-Brexit policies on this crucial carbon store and its benefits. The study incorporates scientific literature and consultations with government and conservation experts, and is now modeling and conducting fieldwork to explore these scenarios and identify key tipping points for peatland restoration

Prof Mark Reed developed a blog and policy brief for the Uplands Alliance meeting in Westminster in September, focusing on post-Brexit UK peatland policy. He is the Principal Investigator of the VNP Peatland Tipping Points project, which will explore these themes over the next three years.
